Poll: Do you replay games with multiple endings to see all the endings?

$

I recently finished Pillars of the earth, an adventure game based off the novel by Ken Follet. It was an enjoyable game which i highly recomend. I was on Steam just now, writing a review and reading some when i found an interesting negative review which criticized the game on the basis that it is very slow-paced with very long episodes, meaning it would take a long time to replay for a different ending. It got me to think about how people play games with multiple endings. I usually only play through games like that once as i tend to get invested in the ending i get the first time. I've tried replays of various games to do the opposite route of what i did the first time, but i tend to loose interest in them. What about you?

On the use of the word 'Snowflake'

I don't like it. It's derogatory and an insult - pure and simple. 'Snowflake' is an unusual insult in that it calls someone weak and fragile without using misogynistic or homophobic references.

Snowflake is also used as a politicised insult, typically used by those on the right to insult those on the political left. It has become the epithet of choice for right-wingers to fling at anyone who could be accused of being too easily offended - a way of shutting down important arguments.

Also, while I'm too old to be part of it, I imagine if I was a younger adult I would find the term 'generation snowflake' very irritating.

I do not think that it is a useful word. It just gets people's backs up. There are better ways of calling INDIVIDUAL people too sensitive (IF it's ACTUALLY true in some cases).

What do you all think?

I see this sentiment expressed quite frequently, I'm curious if this is the majority opinion.

Edit: frickin' site! What good is this thread if the poll doesn't work!?

State of decay 2 is out?! Oh...

So state of decay 2 is out today, awesome right? No, not really, you need to get it trough the windows store, that means a) you need win 10 (not a problem for me but still a pain) and you need to make one more account with one more service that will inevitably get hacked at some point so you'll need to change password again and so on.

Look, I don't really like steam, the UI is awful and the system is full of bug (on one of my computer it constantly randomly forget my account so I have to log back in all the time and my password is some gibberish mess of letter and number so that's a pita). But I hate having my games being spread out over 10 different stores, cause I inevitably forget some. I just brought assassin creed black flag on greenmangaming (yeah it's another website, cause buying games straight from steam is apparently too simple so you need to pay extra for that privilege, but at least they were smart and you can log in straight away with your steam account) and realized too late that this means the game could only be redeemed on uplay, so I probably won't remember that in 1-2 years when I'll get around to playing it.

So state of decay 2 dev/publisher, you'd have a sales today if you were on steam... but instead I'll probably forget all about you soon enough and won't play you ever.

Poll: Best Limp Bizkit album

So, it all comes down to this. The most important question EVER. Something that has created viscous fights amongst some of the greatest thinkers of our time. Ever since Plato have scholars pondered this question:

What is the best Limp Bizkit album?

For my money, the answer is clearly "Three Dollar Bill, Y'all". But I thought I would open this up for debate, get some discussion going so we can come to a forum wide conclusion (and hopefully all leave smarter for the process).

How did Britain end up becoming the most powerful European Country of its time?

France, Spain, Germany's previous incarnations (Prussian Empire, Austrian Empire, Holy Roman Empire) The Italian Peninsula, Russia, All these nations were no where near as powerful as Great Britain when it became its Empire?

Like in the Middle Ages the Kingdom of England was just another medieval kingdom equel in rivalry with the other Euro Kingdoms.

But when it became Great Britain and then became its Empire, they were given a HUGE power boost.

All I am saying is what was your secret Great Britain? And I think its all to do with Ships and the Navy, but I wonder why your navy and not any other great nation's navy?

Battlefield V teaser, full reveal in May 23.

Death tolls mysteriously rise in Gaza

At least, according to headlines. Why? Who?

Dozens die in Gaza

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/gaza-protests-latest-palestinians-killed-border-embassy-jerusalem-trump-a8351761.html

In Jerusalem, an embassy opens. In Gaza, at least 55 die on bloodiest day in years

It's just so tragic and mysterious.

Oh, here we go. After being shamed into it, NYT changed their headline to indicate something approximating a cause of death:

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/14/world/middleeast/gaza-protests-palestinians-us-embassy.html

Israel Kills Dozens at Gaza Border as U.S. Embassy Opens in Jerusalem

Thousands of Palestinian protestors have been wounded or killed in the past few days deliberately by members of the Israeli Defense Force. With bullets. The IDF is shooting unarmed peaceful protestors.

Just to be clear: number of Israelis killed is zero. Number of Israelis wounded is zero. Number of rocket attacks that have happened during this protest is zero. This is pure bloodthirsty brutality.

But the IDF has a justification. In its own words:

Yes, the reason the IDF is shooting unarmed protestors in the head is that, after stealing Palestinian land, they built houses on it and apparently it's just oh so scary to be a thief armed with tanks, planes, smart bombs, and attack helicopters.

While there are many men who play as female character in an online game?

I am wondering why there are lots of men who love to play as female character like me.

I wish there was a Tolkien-esque Fantasy Cinematic Universe for something.

Game of Thrones is almost finished, and the Warcraft movie failed to launch one so no Lich King movie and no Warcraft Paladins on the big screen :(

I have always been a Fantasy guy and wish for a Cinematic Universe for it I long for the days when Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, and Harry Potter were regular thing in cinema, I am getting tired of Superhero movies (and since DCEU is changing to appeal to the mainstream's taste and firing Zack Snyder, its dead to me)

But what can be adapted to the big screen?

Is it actually possible to persuade people of anything online?

Is there any real point to online debates, or are people just looking for validation of their own points of view and won't listen to others if they read it in text form? It's very rare that I see a resolution to debates online. The most that ever happens is one person stops replying if they have no counter or they have grown tired of the argument.

For Men's Liberation do men need to have access to having their own children and family without a woman as vice versa?

I don't even know if this is something any substantial portion men want so I'm asking.

EDIT: Sorry this is so brief. I had a poll with 7 options. It is gone.

A question about Solo

So, some of you might be aware of the planned boycott of Solo. Some people are really unhappy with Keneally after Last Jedi. They dislike where Star Wars is going. Some dislike how women are put front and centre on the billboard. Etc.

My question is - why boycott Solo? It has male leads, supporting cast and villain. There's hardly a women in sight. Aren't they just going to punish a male lead, thus the feedback to Keneally would be "put more female leads in."

Not sure if this belongs here or Off Topic, but I'm gonna blindly charge in anyways.
With tons of celebrities and politicians being outed as sex offenders (And other stuff, but let's keep our terms simple) is there any celebrity/politician who you have enough faith in to say that nothing will come out aboot?
I'm gonna say anyone who's worked on the Stewart-era Daily Show. You know Sam Bee wouldn't let them pull that off without people knowing.
