So we've all got that game we like to compare to all others as the pinnacle of gaming.

you know, THIS one.

(Well actually mine is Deus Ex, but that's another story)

And now we get a new game from a developer regarded as a creator of a cult classic

(this one)

Which combines many, many awesome themes, and some interesting applications of wibbly wobbly timey wimey....stuff..

All of which combines to be the most enthralling gaming experience (for me personally) since Spec Ops: The Line, or even before it.

Ending spoilers for Bioshock Infinite are within, don't say I didn't warn you

I seriously think that even if Valve were to release Half Life 3 tomorrow that they'd be as easily regarded as makers of the BEST SERIES EVAR (personally I haven't fully understood the big deal around HL, maybe that counts against me).

Why PC gaming specifically? Because B:I is a game that finally caters to PC gamers in a meaningful way. None of AMD's useless TressFX, but finally full DX11 support (And for SLI profiles to boot) that hasn't just been shoehorned in, with plot elements not (always) involving massive amounts of bullets doing the talking.

tl:dr if Bioshock: Infinite didn't exist, HL3 would be widely acclaimed as the best game of the decade. Now that it does, Valve finally has a serious contender on it's hands.
