I've seen one of the big things about Dark Souls is that "It doesn't hold your hand" and people love how it "respects the gamer" or shit like that.
Well, I've been playing Metroid 1 and the game is kicking my ass all over the show. Hell, I am having to draw my own maps on graph paper. That's insane!
I put the challenge to you. Play some NES games and I wish to see how long many of you stick with it. I maintain that Dark Souls is over hyped for how "hardcore" it is.
Well I say, if you guys want to back up your words then do it. Stop waiting for devs to make more of these games and go back in time and there is a huge library waiting for you.
Zelda 1, Metroid, Mega Man. Hell, even the NES Super Mario Bros games are still hard to finish completely. I'm not saying you cannot do it (or haven't done it already) but it's not hard to get access to these games, many of you have no doubt not played them so it would be worth going back to play these games.
