The other thread on voting problems inspired this thread, and I have a bad case of the not sleepy (thankfully on my day off).
So the last two presidential elections saw some pretty ridiculous lines in voting in some areas. Personally, I've never had to wait at all when voting. Just drive to the down the street, the old ladies confirm my address, I sign the book and go to the voting machine. The whole processes is finished in 15 minutes and is entirely painless.
Living in a non-swing state, in a non-swing local district, I probably wouldn't bother with a line longer than 10-15 minutes before deciding to leave. I know there's the whole romantic notion of having your say, but I'm not going to waste a perfectly good Tuesday evening sitting in line hungry. How about you guys?
