Fear's a strange thing. There's perfectly rational fears, like being afraid of heights, obviously, falling from tall things is bad, so it's practically natural instinct to be afraid of being on a tall thing from whence you may fall, or being afraid of getting run over by a car, after all, the people driving them are just normal, everyday people who, let's face it, are prone to acts of stupidity and downright insanity, or being afraid of spiders because THEY HAVE A PLAN.
But then there's other things that, when looked at logically, don't make sense. And yet, you can't help but be afraid of them, not just that, but you continue to live in fear of them.
TL:DR HERE'S THE TOPIC YA LAZY BASTARDS; What irrational things do you live in fear of? Do you have a creeping paranoia that one day, Gary Busey will reveal that he has taken pictures of you masturbating for the majority of your life? Do you wake up and thank whatever god you worship that you haven't randomly transformed into an unnecessary sonic the hedgehog character?
Personally, I'm completely afraid of being accused of sexual harassment.
Yep. This might be rational if I was some kind of playboy, but I'm not. I'm really not. At all. I'm what may be described as a permavirgin, in fact. But for some reason, be it the media or simply my own lesser understanding of human beings, I'm still terrified that if I look at a woman who I'm not directly talking to for more than a second, I will be taken away and branded a pervert.
This doesn't make much sense. My main logic is that I kind of look creepy, so women might panic or something. But this still doesn't make sense. You need evidence, and the only evidence they might find is CCTV of me looking at or, god forbid, attempting to talk to a woman. Even considering that, if it were possible to prosecute people for such things, 99% of the male population would currently be serving some kind of sentence. And yet, still, I'm paranoid about it.
