I found this, and no one seemed to be talking about it. I found this through a tumblr comic, oddly enough.
The Arizona republicans are trying to pass a law that makes it illegal for transgendered people to enter gendered bathrooms that don't match whats on their birth certificate.
So for example if a male becomes a female through surgery, he is required to still go the men's bathroom even if he is now a woman. Same rules for women too.
According to the Associated Press, conservative lawmakers are proposing the legislation in response to a human rights bill passed by the city of Phoenix which prohibits gender identity discrimination in public accommodations.
The Phoenix bill of last month was met with anger by some in the city, many of whom claim it gave sexual predators fee rein to share public toilets with women and girls.
That's right, people were pissed off because they equated transgendered people to sexual predators.
Honestly, what do you think? Its amazing they try this crap anymore when they are trying to appeal to more people. Personally, I am not surprised. This is the same state where police still haras you if you are hispanic or latino, automatically assuming you are illegal.
