As some of you are probably aware there are many attempts at voter suppression going on in the US from the right at the moment from removing people from the rolls in Florida along with attempting to take, but stopped via federal judge, away early voting in areas historically reliant on such to voter ID laws that admittedly wouldn't stop any fraud but would stop over 1 million people from being able to vote in Penssylvania and in Ohio preventing Dem and left leaning districts from having evening and weekend early voting while allowing the GOP and right leaning ones to do so.

Today Doug Preisse, chairman of the county Republican Party and elections board member in an email has just come out and said

Dough Preisse:
"I guess I really actually feel we shouldn't contort the voting process to accommodate the urban - read African-American - voter-turnout machine, let's be fair and reasonable

Yep. Not even a thinly veiled dog-whistle. He just lays it straight out there. Minority voters who can't afford to take a day/half day off work etc shouldn't be allowed to vote. I think there is one person at least on this message board who'll applaud this man but it isn't me.
