Folks here on the escapist do like anime but many folks hell maybe even some anime fans may not like a specific one for any reason. And maybe we make anime more appealing(we need to find that one anime that turns a casual onlooker into a fan) to everyone and try to go beyond basic animes(or even stereotypes) of this genre.
I know animes like DBZ,sailor moon and pokemon can get someone into anime but it also push someone away with too many episodes(or filler arcs) or that person can think of these animes as too childish and needs a more grown up anime for their so called adult taste.
I think a anime that could get people into animes could season 1 and season 2 of Code Geass. You got yourself a very mature anime with a bit of fanservice. It deals with political and philosophically issues humans have to deal with everyday.
Building a better world does one look to past or "checks" the present or does a event cause a "checkmate" and force open a new hope and fear for each country when it comes issues like human rights, nation's rights, poverty etc.??
