Is this sexist?

Now don't judge me too harshly, I just want a serious answer.

I'm in a situation (well not really) where I have the chance to go to something really important, now three other friends of mine are most certainly going (they are all female) and I really want to go. Before I go further, yes it is personal choice and it's their right and I'll probably run into people like this all my life. Now the thing in question is a week long seminar, staying at the hotel (its the only option) that the seminar is in would be pricey, so why not all room together and split it four different ways? I think that's the best option, two of my friends don't want to room with me at all STRICTLY because I'm a guy. Now I try not to blow my own horn but I feel like I'm a good guy, I have good intentions and all I want is to make friends. I can't go at all now for reasons that I won't get in to but is this sexist or in some way wrong? (I know its personal choice and all opinion but still) it just feels off to me, I drive my two friends to school every day and back home after every school day and if they asked nicely enough any wheres they needed to go in the town. I never charge them for gas and this is how they repay me?

One of the two friends brought up "Well what if this girl wants to walk around in bra and panties but can't do it with you there?" Well I'm sure she can do that most days of the year, suck it up and wear PJs.

The whole point of this is, I'm missing out on something that could really kick start my career (I'm in college) and be really beneficial but I can't go (Yes I COULD go but it's incredibly expensive and I don't want to pay for a room by myself) because I can't room with two people JUST because I'm a guy, not because of my personality but because of my gender

EDIT: I've read a bit and yes I have actually been told the exact reason they don't want me there is because I'm a guy, not because of my personality or who I am but strictly because of my gender, if all the other women in our class (I'm the only guy) all wanted to room with these two (this is strictly hypothetical) they'd be perfectly fine but when I come into the picture, "Nope, you're out!"

EDIT AGAIN: Okay while you're all right I'm not saying I feel entitled, it would just be nice to know I'm appreciated (I'm kind of dense) and there are many other factors but I can't really talk about them, kind of confidential and you know but they are things that I feel like it would just make people more in my favour, maybe, or maybe I'm just being selfish.

EDIT AGAIN AGAIN: Is anyone reading these edits?

Okay so I've read a lot of your posts and I'm trying my best not to disclose too much because I don't want this coming back to haunt me, I tell you this because right now I just want closure and second opinions.

Lets call the three girls A, B, and C. Girl A and Girl B are the ones who won't let me room with them because I am a guy and yes they HAVE told me that's the reason. Girl C is the one who WOULD room with me if it wasn't already too late. I have known Girl A and Girl B for years now. Girl B I've hung out with a lot over the years that I've known her and the summer of last year before COLLEGE (I'm in college, I just wanted to point that out there) started and I even had a hand in Girl B joining my college (I convinced her to join and take my course). Now Girl C I only met a couple of months ago and she has said she would have no problem rooming with me for a week.

As I've stated though it is too late. Girl C did the booking for Girl A and B and something about a canceling fee. They also still decided to take the cheap road and room altogether. So they are pushing me out because I'm a guy. Now yes I REALLY want to go and YES I have the money as of right now but I also have very expensive other obligations (like my car) and the three girls are the only ones going to the hotel which the seminar is taking place at.

I don't want to room by myself ANY WHERES because that would mean I'd still have to pay a ton of money. I'll try to think of more explanations as they come to me.

EDIT A THIRD TIME: Okay so, yes it is their personal choice, I can't find anyone else to go with, to get to the seminar itself I have to fly there, I have to pay for the seminar and a room, that is REALLY expensive, the hotel has group rates for people going to the seminar, IF THEY HAVE A GROUP WHICH I DO NOT NOW! AND NO I DO NOT FEEL ENTITLED TO ANYTHING THAT WAS BAD WORDING ON MY PART I JUST MEANT I DO A LOT FOR THEM (AND THEY ASK ME TO DRIVE THEM TO SCHOOL, SOMETIMES I OFFER BUT MOST TIMES THEY ASK ME) AND THEY DON'T SHOW ANY APPRECIATION IN THE SLIGHTEST.

Something just happened today with Girl A and Girl B and hopefully will end this whole thing and get (hopefully most) you people on my side (Not that that is what I'm looking for but it'd be nice if people would stop being mean about this) Okay so after school today Girl A asked me if I could drive her home or if I was busy, I said I would and so I did. Girl B came with us because she was going to hang out at Girl A's place. Now when we got to B's place, I asked them in a nice happy tone (I wasn't demanding) if I could hang out with them, you know cause we're friends (or so I thought) now Girl A just got out of the car and didn't even say anything and Girl B (who was sitting next to me in the passenger side) says to me "Oh, well...sorry" I don't exactly remember because right now I'm filled with seething hatred for them but what B said was basically "Well see you later" didn't even bother to defend me or consider my feelings at all. YES I KNOW IT'S PERSONAL CHOICE BUT IT'S A DICK THING TO DO. The LEAST Girl A could have done was give me an explanation instead of just hopping out of my car and saying nothing. Some fucking friends.
