Don't get me wrong, I'm an open minded person, judgmental a good amount of the time, but I hope my awareness of my own judgmental...ness allows me to undercut that festering trait a little more every day. I get angry at people on the road, but I do my best to chastise myself for it and learn from it. I understand there is good and bad in every walk of life. I get that.
Then why do I have such a seething contempt for bronies?
Seething. My hatred for these people has been polished down to a razor sharp, immaculately carved mirror.
NOTE: Before I continue, I want to make it clear, though I'm about to go on a MASSIVE rant, this is not something I'm proud of. I don't like hating people, there's no part of me that honestly believes that being a brony makes you a bad person or that they are anything less than human, capable of the same positive traits and faults as the rest of us. I'm ranting, but it's so maybe someone can give me some insight into my hatred. Thank you.
So every time I've encountered one on the internet or in real life, though I'll admit to a slight amount of baiting when I'm in a bad mood, they're childish, have the same childish-optimistic-but-for-real-I'm-still-a-grown-up-just-like-you air to them, as if they want to pretend that being aware of their strange hobby (though who am I to say strange) either makes them A. too cool for ridicule and that "I know it's strange, but I'm cooler than you so you can go back to Call of Duty" mentality, or B. a devotion so strong to their little sport that ANYTHING you say against it is not only ignorant, but heresy.
These people make me absolutely sick to my stomach and they actually make me hate a show that, I have seen a bit of yes, isn't all that bad. But these goddamn people instill so much contempt in me.
So I guess
tl;dr: I hate bronies with an outlandishly caustic passion. Why is this and do you have any experiences with bronies, or prejudices you don't want to have?
