Poll: How broad are your music tastes?

This is just a poll wondering how wide a palette everybody here has. While music is a nebulous thing full of fusion, contradiction, and debate over what is what, I don't think it's too unfair to say there are five levels to somebody's palette. Please read all of these before voting to avoid confusion. Here are the choices:

Tier 1

Allmusic.com divides their coverage of music into the following categories:

Going by this, I define tier 1 as willingness to listen to two or more of these. I'm not sure I entirely agree with lumping Pop and Rock together since modern Pop way more resembles Rap and Electronic, but then again, Pop stopped being its own "pure" genre not long after the British Invasion and has been a thieving magpie stealing shiny bits from everywhere since. As far as fusions go, I would only count it towards whatever genre the person is partial to (i.e. somebody that only listens to Jazz and Steely Dan shouldn't count Rock as a taste just because they're a Jazz Rock group). Also, just liking one or two songs, albums, or artists outside the favored genre as an extreme minority shouldn't count.

Tier 2

Just one of the above-mentioned supergenres, but plenty of genres within (e.g. somebody that listens to Rock, Metal, and Punk).

Tier 3

Just one of the broad genres mentioned above, but with plenty of variety of subgenres within (e.g. somebody that listens to Heavy Metal, Power Metal, Thrash Metal, Death Metal, Gothic Metal, etc.). I guess originally specific but very influential movements would count so long as offshoots and fusions are part of the palette (e.g. Glam Rock, New Wave, Gothic Rock, Grunge, etc.).

Tier 4

A really specific subgenre or local scene (e.g. Symphonic Gothic Metal, Desert Rock, Anarcho-Punk, Shoegaze, pre-mainstream Seattle Grunge, etc.).

Tier 5

Only a very select few artists with a refusal to so much as give a chance to anybody else that doesn't sound nearly identical (e.g. only listening to Within Temptation, Nightwish, After Forever, and Epica). I would count somebody that branches out across wide genre lines but are still very closed-off to new material as this, too.

My choice

I'd say I'm a weak tier 1 in that I favor Rock and Electronic, but there are plenty of Soundtracks I love and there are some songs and elements within Jazz, R&B, Classical, and New Age that I like. I'm just a very picky listener without any particular "this, this, and this makes everything awesome"; the song has to work on its own terms. I have a wide set of mental and emotional states and listen to music accordingly.

How about you?
