Also to add something other than quiet weeping, I think for me this is less about video games (was never really a huge gamer, just a person who played games) and just a general nostalgia for a time in young adulthood when you were pretty much free to slob around getting stoned and/or drunk with no real feeling that time was marching on and soon you'd be closer to 40 than you are to 20 or needing to get on with sorting out anything much. The "Hat'tat'takaryuken" bit got me though.
