Would this be considered weird?

While most people use shampoo to wash there hair I use a bar of soap by rubbing it back and forth against my hands to get a thin layer of soap and then wash my hair it works just as good as shampoo as well. Would you find this weird or odd?

Also to add more discussion value. Do you do anything weird or odd instead of normal use in how to perform something?

Edit: MY HAIR ISNT SHORT it reaches down to my neck in the back
